I know you will be encouraged and challenged to grow in your own role as one of God’s Kingdom Builders through the posts shared this month on the Global Staff Women’s Shared Reader.   All these posts happen to be by Campus Crusade for Christ staff men who are featured in a new category in the eQuipping for eMinistry (e4e) blogroll, “Leading Movements.”

If you enjoy the posts in this shared reader, why not visit some of these blogs to discover more great material from Campus Crusade staff?  You can even make some new friends along the way!   This post explains the categories for the blogroll in the left sidebar.  If your blog fits in one of the different categories we’re looking for, tell me about your blog by posting a comment.

If you’re a mom-at-home, remember: “No man or woman ever had a nobler challenge or a higher privilege than to raise a child to love and serve God. “ (Vance Havner)  Keep building into the lives of those little ones!

Have you been reading the GSW Shared Reader?  The July / August issue is now published with great posts about thankfulness and a practical post on keeping kids busy during the summer months.

Because of the main focus of eQuipping for eMinistry, many of the sites listed in our blogrolls are authored by Campus Crusade staff women who use their sites specifically for ministry.  These women will encourage you to draw closer to God, guide you in using hospitality to share the love of Christ, give practical advice for moms serving overseas, paint a fresh perspective on life, offer a taste of life in another country, and more.

The Global Staff Women’s Shared Reader is like a monthly “online newspaper” with selections only from our Campus Crusade women authors.  During the first week of every month, Lindsey and Sus select a handful of posts for the reader.  Each month features different blogs and  subjects.  If you are considering blogging and want to see a sample of various ministry blogs, or yo...

The first blog tour for eQuipping for eMinistry is now over.  Thanks to all who participated!  I plan to do this again.  Right now I’m thinking of doing this annually every February and/or doing mini themed tours throughout the year.

One problem with this initial tour is I did not provide a way to notify people who would want to follow the tour as each new post was added.  The only solution I can see for this is to have the authors post a comment when their blog is featured.  Readers would then:

  • follow the feed for the comments,
  • know when new posts were published,
  • know which posts they would be interested in.

I changed the Out-of-This-World portion of the tour.  In the future, this part of the tour will list posts from our staff who are guest authors on non-CCC sites.

I also recently added a tab at the top of the blog so it is easier to go to the current blog tour.

If you missed part of the tour, click here to read some great posts by Campus Crusade for Christ staff.

What did you like about the to...

Last summer I started a blog because I not only love to write, but I also find purpose in writing Father-filtered, divinely inspired blog entries to a culture that is starving for more than what this world feeds it. So a friend and fellow staff member pointed me in the right direction and suddenly, the blog was born (Leaha’s Pen)!

But then what? Like anything new, I wanted to show her off to my friends. So I logged into Facebook and noticed that some of my Facebook pals were displaying their blogs on their profile pages through Twitter. Ah-hah, I thought, free advertisement for my blog! So I set up an account with Twitter and before I knew it, I could post clips from my blog entries on Facebook via Twitter for all my friends to see. I loved being able to write with purpose and transparency. But little did I know, there was a glitch. All was not well in the twitter-blogosphere.

One day I received an email from a kind stranger informing me that he had difficulty accessing my blog through Twitter because I ha...
