I personally have not yet taken the plunge into Pinterest, but I know many who have.  Perhaps busyness keeps me from jumping in head first, or maybe laziness keeps me from having one more log in screen to add to my daily regime.  So I admire the ladies who have not only made time to pin, but who also take time to pin with purpose.  Let’s take a look at three women in particular whose daily walk with Christ reflects in their online activities.

Amanda just completed her internship with CRU at USF.  As a local fellow staff, I had the opportunity to get to know her a little better during her time in Tampa.  When asked to describe how she pins with purpose, she explained it this way, “I would think the most ministry would be on my quotes board…I pin a lot of scripture, C.S. Lewis, etc. and then my followers see it.”  In addition to posting positive Christian messages to her personal site, Amanda has used ideas from Pinterest for party planning with CRU.  She also blesses the students she disciple...

Did you know April 29th is Internet Evangelism Day?  In fact, the entire month of April is Digital Outreach Month.

Are you doing anything on the internet to reach out to people with the love of Christ? Whether or not you already are, why not pick up a new idea this week?

  • Learn more about Internet Evangelism Day and find a lot of ideas and great resources (see important notes about free downloads this week and a chance to win two books).
  • Curt signed up to be an online missionary with Global Media Outreach. Have you?
  • Did you know you can specifically request to answer eMails received from women who are seeking God?
  • Check out these creative ideas from EveryStudent.com for sharing your faith.  (I’ll make myself accountable to you, I’m very interested in trying this idea in particular: it’s a mini-survey where you gather eMail addresses and send requested evangelistic articles to people.)

Over 200 have visited this year’s blog tour.  Have you?  It’s not too late.  The tour continues until mid-May.

Every spring, the blog tour helps you discover Campus Crusade for Christ blogs. You may find a new blog that you would like to follow.

Whether or not you choose to follow a blog, these posts were submitted by the authors. Please recommend posts from the tour to your friends through Facebook and Twitter.  Thank you!

TOURS

  • Come back regularly to hop on the bus for a tour of some great sites, or better yet, receive a weekly eMail, with the links to the most recent posts on the tour, by checking the last box on this subscription form.  I’ll send the eMail on Thursday in time for you to recommend these bloggers with #FF on Twitter. Join me for a trip around the blogosphere… and into the Twittersphere this year, too!

I’m offering Best of Tours, a “road trip” to top posts from Campus Crusade for Christ bloggers.  This year’s tour emphasizes social sharing.   If you’re reading posts from the tour, please share these posts with your friends on Facebook and Twitter.  If I know a Twitter account or a Facebook fan page associated with the blog, I’ll include it.

Get on the bus!

If you plan to read these great posts, I’ll add a new “tour stop” every other day for five to seven weeks. Come back regularly to hop on the bus for a tour of some great sites, or better yet, receive a weekly eMail, with the links to the most recent posts on the tour, by checking the last box on this subscription form.  I’ll send the eMail on Thursday in time for you to recommend these bloggers with #FF on Twitter (see Notes).

If you’re on Campus Crusade staff and use blogging as a ministry tool… join the tour before the tour runs out!

Are you drowning in a sea of information?  Would you like to follow some internet sites regularly, but it would be just one more thing to do? A reader may be the answer for you.  (I’m referring to web-based aggregators, not eReaders for eBooks like Kindle or Nook.)  If you don’t have a reader (aggregator), then I hope by the end of this post, you’ll know some effective ways to follow content on the internet and whether a reader would help.

First, watch this video for a very easy explanation of RSS, feeds, and readers; it’ll help you know how to get started.  (YouTube wouldn’t let me embed it, so please come on back after you watch the video to find out the three reasons I promised you.)

Are you back from watching the video?  Good.  Now ask yourself how much you read (or would like to read) on the internet.

The Minimalist

If you only like to read occasionally, or from random sites, you might just use Read It Later on your computer, tablet, or mobile device.  Instead of being sidetracked by diffe...
