Did you know April 29th is Internet Evangelism Day?  In fact, the entire month of April is Digital Outreach Month.

Are you doing anything on the internet to reach out to people with the love of Christ? Whether or not you already are, why not pick up a new idea this week?

  • Learn more about Internet Evangelism Day and find a lot of ideas and great resources (see important notes about free downloads this week and a chance to win two books).
  • Curt signed up to be an online missionary with Global Media Outreach. Have you?
  • Did you know you can specifically request to answer eMails received from women who are seeking God?
  • Check out these creative ideas from EveryStudent.com for sharing your faith.  (I’ll make myself accountable to you, I’m very interested in trying this idea in particular: it’s a mini-survey where you gather eMail addresses and send requested evangelistic articles to people.)

I’m sure you’ve heard the internet compared to the Roman Road of New Testament times.  Also, English might be compared to the Greek of New Testament times (we have an advantage with online translators, too, like Babel Fish). God used this Roman technology and a common language to advance the Gospel. Increasingly, the internet is where people go with their questions about God. (You might want to take two minutes to watch Kimberly’s story to see our model of win-build-send in one young women’s life.)

Of course, all true believers desire to glorify God and love people into His kingdom. (That’s why you’re reading this post, isn’t it?) Have you asked yourself what are you doing now or what could you prayerfully consider learning so you are ministering to more people more effectively using the tech tools available to you? (According to the video, all the people of the world may have access to the internet by 2015.)

  • Do you want to find ways to share your faith with your Facebook friends?
  • Have you considered st...

“Electric communication will never be a substitute for the face of someone who with their soul encourages another person to be brave and true.” ~ Charles Dickens

What if Dickens had electronic communication? How would he use it? Or would he be on the sidelines, not joining into cyber communication?

Dickens, the blogger

Would he be blogging and later publish his posts as a book? Would he write a book, but promote it with a blog? What comments would he receive with this post:

“The crowds in the streets, the lights in the shops and balconies, the elegance, variety, and beauty of their decorations, the number of the theatres, the brilliant cafes with their windows thrown up high and their vivacious groups at little tables on the pavement, the light and glitter of the houses turned as it were inside out, soon convince me that it is no dream; that I am in Paris.” (from A Flight)

Lepan Tyoden an online missionary in GMO from Nigeria has been communicating with Truphena for the last two years. Lepan traveled to Kenya to attend Emerging Leadership Initiative training and he asked for Truphena for the possibility of having a meeting. Triuphena lives in Kenya and works in the remote border place called Garissa. She was very expectant to travel long distance and to see her online mentor Lepan and others.

Truphena visited GMO website from a PC two years ago when she was hopeless about life with broken marriage. She was supposed to support her two sons and they both don’t not know JESUS. She told us, she was lonely and her visit to GMO site connected her with passionate Online Missionary Lepan.

She recommitted her life to Christ and started sending a prayer request about getting a job and for her two sons to be saved. God amazingly started answering their prayers. She got a good job and one of her son came to know JESUS and the other son was emotionally sick and God healed him.

The l...
