I love this video!  I love the Medieval time period, books,  and helping others with technology…  and I also have a Norwegian heritage.   Many of us, me included, have first encounters just like this when we are introduced to new technology.

For  two-and-a-half years, eQuipping for eMinistry has helped many Campus Crusade for Christ staff be more comfortable with new skills and new tools available for ministry.   Dozens of others have lend a hand, too, through offering their expertise and ministry ideas for this blog and through one-to-one training sessions.

You aren’t alone.   What do you need help with? If you comment here, I’ll do my best to write a post, addressing your need, or I may be able to connect you with someone who could assist you.

I appreciate your prayers and encouragement.  God has been providing opportunities and  some great volunteers.

NOTE: Spanish / Español version of the video

“Electric communication will never be a substitute for the face of someone who with their soul encourages another person to be brave and true.” ~ Charles Dickens

What if Dickens had electronic communication? How would he use it? Or would he be on the sidelines, not joining into cyber communication?

Dickens, the blogger

Would he be blogging and later publish his posts as a book? Would he write a book, but promote it with a blog? What comments would he receive with this post:

“The crowds in the streets, the lights in the shops and balconies, the elegance, variety, and beauty of their decorations, the number of the theatres, the brilliant cafes with their windows thrown up high and their vivacious groups at little tables on the pavement, the light and glitter of the houses turned as it were inside out, soon convince me that it is no dream; that I am in Paris.” (from A Flight)

I’m sure you’re aware of some creative and fun ideas on the internet at Christmas.

I thought the video I’m featuring today put a real human face on the Christmas story (see above).  Last year’s featured YouTube video of the Nativity was a clever rendition of how Mary and Joseph might have used social media.

Christmas in 140 Characters

The Natwivity begins December 1st.   Follow on Facebook and/or Twitter as the Christmas story unfolds with Tweets from Mary, Joseph, the Shepherds, the Wisemen, Herod, an Inn Keeper, and others.
