Well, due to unforeseen airline circumstances I am at home tonight instead of in the air (that’s where I’ll be tomorrow night now )

And as I put Lukas to bed he had an inordinate amount (even for him) of questions, particularly questions about God. The following is a poor recollection of what he said, probably in the wrong order, and paraphrased in parts, but they’re all things he did say. He starting off asking about communion – “Why aren’t I allowed to eat the bread at church?”, to which I replied, “That’s for people who have Jesus in their heart, and … ” (at this point he interrupted me with another question – most of the time I only get half an answer out, if that, before the next question comes – this one was about baptism), “Is that why people go in the water?”

Me: “Yes, they do that because they want people to know that Jesus really is in their heart.”

L; “Is it true if you love Jesus, that you can live with him forever?”

Me: “Yes. Do you love Jesus, Lukas?”

L: “Yes, so can I have the bread at chur...

It’s a flat out gorgeous Palm Sunday here in sunny Florida. Wanted to share two sets of photos with you.

In the first set, drum roll please, enjoy our most recent Hand family portraits! These come courtesy of our friend and talented photographer Kristina, taken shortly after Thanksgiving last year. Notice the slight hint of fall in these scenes – it’s as much fall as we get here in central Florida.

I’d hoped to share this second set of photos with you sooner, after I returned from my ministry trip to Thailand in March. These were captured at the Global Technology Leaders (you might notice the misspelled ‘GLT’ welcome banner created by the hotel) conference my team helped to facilitate. About 25 of our missionaries representing over 11 different countries gathered for worship, leadership development, technology training and problem solving sessions.
